Introduction

Humble is a simple lager given unusual time and care. Aged for 17 months in Chardonnay barrels using a natural water source, this collaboration with Modest Beer is about restraint and patience — letting fermentation and oak shape something clean, balanced, and quietly distinctive.

Flavour Profile

Crisp and light on its feet, with a gently wild edge. Expect delicate citrus and floral notes, soft oak influence, and a dry, refreshing finish. The acidity is refined rather than sharp, giving the beer a bright lift while keeping it firmly in “lager” territory — composed, drinkable, and rewarding to revisit.

How It Was Made

This beer starts as a straightforward lager, then takes a slower path. We aged it in Chardonnay barrels for 17 months, allowing time, oak, and fermentation character to integrate naturally. Bottle conditioning adds structure and helps the beer settle into a finished, cohesive whole.
